"Everything you do, all your work, can contribute towards your salvation. It depends on you, on the way you do it. History is replete with monks who became great saints while working in the kitchen or washing sheets. The way of salvation consists in working without passion, in prayer…. May God give you the strength to keep your spirit, your mind, and your heart in the spirit of Christ. Then everything that happens to you can very quickly be radically transformed. What was tiresome and discouraging will disappear, transfigured by your desire to be there where Christ your God is." Elder Sophrony

Not the Scale!!! Christmas Season has just begun!!!

Princess informed me that she wants to start back to Weight Watchers this coming Saturday, with a weigh in bright and early Saturday morning at 9:00am.

NO!!!!

The Christmas season has just begun and there are still many non-fasting days left! There are still baked goodies and candy in the house. How can I possibly go back to WW and step on that scale?

BUT...

I guess now is as good as time to go as any...

Christmas and self control?

Gotta learn it, I guess.

PS. I don't know where the picture above was taken, but I would have loved to have been invited. (From Flickr...)

yes, I would've love to have been invited...the red table setting goes so nicely with your frosty and red berry background!

P.S. if you have BIG candy canes, you could put 2 of them together to make a heart and fill it with chocolate! share with some friends!!!

Don't you love it when your kids are right!! Even though it is the holidays, you can still lose a bit of weight! I promise.

Stopping to say hello, and I hope you and Princess are feeling so much better, after all the surgeries. And right around Christmas, too. I was tickled when I read she wanted to start back at Weight Watchers...out of the mouths of babes an all that, lol!

I hope the new year brings you many blessings,
Loretta
