Well, it seemed that everyone was fine on Tuesday evening for our house blessing. Junior was still home from school, (he had to go back on Thursday,) so everyone was home. The blessing was beautiful and the visit was wonderful. I have been forgetting (once again) to have my camera at the ready lately-so no pics.
Then came Wednesday morning...
Then Thursday...
Then Friday...
Then Saturday...
Then today...
It seems that Junior is the only one who has escaped. Good thing too, because the spring semester has begun.
It is very rare that all of us at home are sick at the same time, but this time we were not so lucky.
Princess has missed three days of work, and hubby is so sick that he missed playing and directing Liturgy today. (You know that he is sick when he misses...)
Me, well, I am moving slow and the tummy is not so calm...if you know what I mean.
Princess is on her daily inhaler and daily meds, and I hope to not bring out the emergency inhaler or have to make a trip to the ER. We had previously asked for the ability to give breathing treatments at home, but her insurance company would rather pay the higher price of an emergency room visit...
So...here we are blessed and sick...
"Then by abiding in God in mind and heart, endeavor to fulfill in body the duties and affairs which your station in life imposes upon you." Theophan the Recluse
"Everything you do, all your work, can contribute towards your salvation. It depends on you, on the way you do it. History is replete with monks who became great saints while working in the kitchen or washing sheets. The way of salvation consists in working without passion, in prayer…. May God give you the strength to keep your spirit, your mind, and your heart in the spirit of Christ. Then everything that happens to you can very quickly be radically transformed. What was tiresome and discouraging will disappear, transfigured by your desire to be there where Christ your God is." Elder Sophrony
