"Everything you do, all your work, can contribute towards your salvation. It depends on you, on the way you do it. History is replete with monks who became great saints while working in the kitchen or washing sheets. The way of salvation consists in working without passion, in prayer…. May God give you the strength to keep your spirit, your mind, and your heart in the spirit of Christ. Then everything that happens to you can very quickly be radically transformed. What was tiresome and discouraging will disappear, transfigured by your desire to be there where Christ your God is." Elder Sophrony

Reason for the long time no post....

Princess did not seem to be bouncing back as quickly as we thought she should.  She has been extremely tired and quiet, offering to go to bed at 8:00 at night.  She has been going the wrong way on the scale at weight watchers, even though she has been tracking faithfully and not eating over points.  There have been lots of emotional roller coaster moments lately, too.  We were getting worried.

So after blood work....

Just got back from the Endocrinologist's office and it turns out that her thyroid is totally out of whack.  She does take Synthroid, but evidently not enough.  The Dr. described symptoms to us and voila!, that's our Princess described with every symptom.

He does not know whether this was caused by all the meds that she has been on over the past month or two for the lung issues...

(or a tiny growth spurt of 1/2 inch?--(who would have thought, at 22 years of age!)

So he upped her dosage two steps...

He also said that we should notice a difference in two weeks.  Then more blood work in 3 months...

Poor Princess, she has been miserable...

But now we have answers, and that is good!
