"Everything you do, all your work, can contribute towards your salvation. It depends on you, on the way you do it. History is replete with monks who became great saints while working in the kitchen or washing sheets. The way of salvation consists in working without passion, in prayer…. May God give you the strength to keep your spirit, your mind, and your heart in the spirit of Christ. Then everything that happens to you can very quickly be radically transformed. What was tiresome and discouraging will disappear, transfigured by your desire to be there where Christ your God is." Elder Sophrony

What is Princess looking at? Get ready for a shocker!

This is Princess dressed for her New Year's celebration.

Can you see what she is admiring?

 Yes that is a RING!!!

So why is she so happy?

Well, remember this prom couple from 2010?

Well, he proposed to her!?!?!?

He popped the question, while on one knee, during their Christmas party.  Yes, there was and audience and they all applauded..and of course she said yes.

Yes, they both know that it is a long engagement, with lots of learning and work to do.
But they have a goal.

To get married...to be happy.
To be able to have what anyone would want in life.
Love and Happiness.
Why not?

We will have to many supports in place...and like I said, there will be lots of training and learning to do in order for them both to be successful together.  But we all need to take it a day and a step at a time.  We need to get really creative with those supports...hopefully agencies and support organizations will be able to think outside the box with us.

AND

We are still reeling...

Oh, BTW...
Princess has already told us, "Of course we are getting married Orthodox.  I told him all about the faith and he is interested."

That's my girl!
